The Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever is an active dog for active owners. He will do everything with you and accompany you everywhere. He needs a close link to his family. That‘s why he will not fit into a household in which the family members have a full time job. Also he can not be put into a kennel the whole day.

If you are thinking about buying a Toller puppy, than you should be prepared to invest a lot of time and fantasy in his education. A well trained dog will be a great companion. Tollers are loving  hiking in the nature and doing Retriever work of course.

We are preferring dog fanciers, for whom training and education of hunting dogs is a passion, such as hunters, people doing Retriever sports and rescue dog trainers if it fits.
